Achappam is made using patterned irons or molds to give a characteristic size and shape. The mould is heated to a very high temperature in fresh Coconut Oil, dipped into the batter, then re-immersed in the hot oil to create a crisp shell around the metal. The mould is lifted from the oil after the Achappam separates from the mould. Without using extra colour and taste maker it has a unique taste which is spiced with sesame, cumin, and cardamom. No use of preservatives. Its crispiness and crunchiness maintained by its proper and quality packing.
